The Story of The One Dirham

A woman came to one of the scholars, and she said to him: My brother died, and he left six hundred dirhams, and when they divided the money, they gave me only one dirham. The Scholar thought for a minute and then he said, "Maybe because your brother has a wife, mother, two daughters, and 12 brothers." The woman wondered and said yes. He said: "This dirham is your right, and they did not oppress you." His wife's share is 1/8 of the wealth, which is 75 dirhams, and his daughters two thirds, which is equivalent to 400 dirhams. For his mother 1/6 of the money which is equal to (100 dirhams). (25 dirhams) is distributed to his twelve brothers and his sister. The man takes twice as much as the woman takes. Each brother has two dirhams, and the sister - who is you - has one dirham left.

Allowable Envy

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Envy is permitted only in two cases: A man whom Allah gives wealth, and he disposes of it rightfully, and a man to whom Allah gives knowledge which he applies and teaches it."
Meaning envy to be like them and do like them not to be taken from them.
[Al- Bukhari, and Muslim].

Unjustly Taken

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Whoever takes a piece of the land of others unjustly, he will sink down the seven earths on the Day of Resurrection."
