Believers Purification

"And that Allah may purify the believers {through trials} and destroy the disbelievers" (141)

Surah - Ali Imran
Quran

Wise Man

Omar bin Abdul Aziz - may Allah be pleased with him - known for wisdom and kindness, and one day, one of his sons came to him, and said: oh my father! Why do you go easy on some things ?! If I were you I will not fear anyone for the right; his father said:God dispraise the wine in the Qur'an twice and then forbid it in the third time, and I fear that I will bring the people to the right, and they will refuse it (i.e I am afraid that I will force them on it once and they will reject it).so trial would occur. The son was satisfied after reassuring the good policy of his father and learned that the blessing of his father is not weakness, but the result of his understanding of his religion.

The Story of Difficult Question

A great sheikh came to the Imam al-Shafei and asked him: What evidence and proof in the religion of Allah? Al-Shaafa'i said: The Book of Allaah. The Sheikh said: And what, else? He said: The Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah. Sheikh said: And what else? He said: the Umma's agreement. The Sheikh said: Where did you say the agreement of the Umma? Al-Shaafa'i said nothing, Skeikh said "I will give you three days. Imam al-Shafei went to his home and continued to read and look for it. Three days later, the sheikh came to the Shafi'i Council, and he saluted and sat down. Al-Shaafa'i said to him: I read the Qur'an every day and night three times until God guided me to the verse: "Whoever shatters the messenger after what is revealed to him is guided and follows the path of the believers. It is contrary to what was agreed by Muslim scholars without a valid proof that God introduced to fire, and worsened fate".Who so ever contradict what Muslim scholars agreed upon without authentic evidence will enter hellfire. Sheikh said: true.

The Amazing Boat Story

One of the atheists - who do not believe in God - challenged Muslim scholars in one country, they chose their best to respond to him, and set a date for that. On time everyone awaited the arrival of the scholar, but he was delayed. The atheist said to those present: "Your scholar has fled and he is afraid because he has learned that I will triumph over him, and prove to you that the universe has no God." During his speech, the Muslim scholar arrived and apologized for his delay. He said, "While I am on the way here. I did not find a boat, suddenly appeared in the river planks of wood, and gathered together quickly and in order until they became a boat, and then the boat approached me, and I came to you. The atheist said: This man is crazy, how the wood is assembled and become a boat without making anyone, and how to move without the presence of someone to move it?
Then the scholar smiled and said: What do you say about yourself and you say This great great universe without God ?!

Halal or Haram

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'There will come a time when a man will not care where his wealth comes from, whether (the source is) Halal or Haram."

Sunan an-Nasa'i

Seeking Knowledge

Narrated Abu Hurairah: that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Whoever takes a path upon which to obtain knowledge, Allah makes the path to Paradise easy for him."
at-Tirmidhi

Smiling

Jabir bin Abdullah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said:
"Every good is charity. Indeed among the good is to meet your brother with a smiling face, and to pour what is left in your bucket into the vessel of your brother."
at-Tirmidhi

Smiling in Islam is a form of charity when you meet your fellow human with smiling face, smiling to people will make them accept you , like you, open to talk, every single one of us looks better when smiles.

Thankfulness

It was narrated that when the Prophet (PBUH) heard news that made him happy, or for which one should be happy, he would fall down prostrate in gratitude to Allah, the Blessed and Exalted.

Paradise

Anas narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said:
"Paradise is surrounded by hardships, and the Fire is surrounded by desires."

General Invitation

"O children of Adam, if there come to you messengers from among you relating to you My verses (i.e.,scriptures and laws), then whoever fears Allah and reforms - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve". The Quran 35 Al-A RAF

Sincerity

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:

"Religion is sincerity, religion is sincerity (Al-Nasihah), religion is sincerity." They said; "To whom, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "To Allah, to His Book, to His Messenger, to the imams of the Muslims and to their common folk."

Sunan an-Nasa'i

Believer

the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
"Two traits are not combined in a believer: Stinginess and bad manners."

at-Tirmidhi

Telling the Truth

Allah's Messenger (PBUH) said:
It is obligatory for you to tell the truth, for truth leads to virtue and virtue leads to Paradise, and the man who continues to speak the truth and endeavours to tell the truth is eventually recorded as truthful with Allah, and beware of telling of a lie for telling of a lie leads to obscenity and obscenity leads to Hell-Fire, and the person who keeps telling lies and endeavours to tell a lie is recorded as a liar with Allah.
Sahih Muslim

Good Manners

Abu Ad-Dardh narrated that the Messenger of Allah said:
"Nothing is placed on the Scale that is heavier than good character. Indeed the person with good character will have attained the rank of the person of fasting and prayer."

at-Tirmidhi

Money

Everyone wants to be rich, have so much money, but the way to make money is different. Some people would do anything and use any means to make money whether it is legitimate or not. In Islam; making money should be clean and legitimate because Allah will hold accountable every body and ask them about every single penny ; how do they make it and where do they spend it? If they cheat or they are not sincere or they take other people's money; they will be punished for everything.

Food Barakh

Allah's Messenger (PBUH) SAID:
Food for one (person) suffices two, and food for two (persons) suffices four persons and food for four persons suffices eight persons.

Sahih Muslim

Good Muslim

Being a good muslim; and do good things most of the time, Allah will reward you for every single good deed as many as he wants, may be ten times to seven hundred times and may be more, and the bad deed is always written as one and that is from the mercy of God.

Animal Treatment

The Prophet (PBUH) said: If anyone leaves an animal at a place of perishing and another man brings it to life, it belongs to him who brings it to life.

(Al-Albani)

Charity

Prophet (PBUH) said:
"Giving charity to a poor person is charity, and (giving) to a relative is two things, charity and upholding the ties of kinship."
Sunan an-Nasa'i

Be Grateful of What You Have

Abu Hurairah (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
“Look at those who are lower than you (financially) but do not look at those who are higher than you, lest you belittle the favors Allah conferred upon you.”

Agreed upon.

Lying

Lying is lying; there is no white lie or innocent lie, lying is not correct, neither in seriousness nor in jest. None of you should promise his child something and then not give it to him, sometimes people tell something as a joke but others might take it seriously , so practically that someone who told the joke is lying and that is not good character to have.

Truthfulness

Allah's Messenger (PBUH) said:
It is obligatory for you to tell the truth, for truth leads to virtue and virtue leads to Paradise, and the man who continues to speak the truth and endeavours to tell the truth is eventually recorded as truthful with Allah, and beware of telling of a lie for telling of a lie leads to obscenity and obscenity leads to Hell-Fire, and the person who keeps telling lies and endeavours to tell a lie is recorded as a liar with Allah.

Sahih Muslim

God Willing

In Islam ; muslims believe that Allah controls everything ; and everything happened or will happen is under the control and supervision of God. They have to do their part like working, studying, taking care of family, and strive to be better all the time, but they firmly believe that whatever God planned will take place, they put their trust and dependence on Allah at the end of every good work they do; and the wisdom of Allah is behind every single event had happened , is happening or will happen and this wisdom is beyond our understanding and comprehension.

Be Good To Parents

"The Prophet was asked, 'Messenger of Allah, to whom should I be dutiful?' 'Your mother,' he replied. He was asked, 'Then whom?' 'Your mother,' he replied. He was asked, 'Then whom?' 'Your mother,' he replied. He was asked, 'Then whom?' He replied, 'Your father.'"

(Al-Albani)

Faith

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Iman has sixty odd or seventy odd branches. The uppermost of all these is the Testimony of Faith: 'La ilaha illallah' (there is no true god except Allah) while the least of them is the removal of harmful object from the road. And shyness is a branch of Iman."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Good and Bad Deeds

On the authority of Ibn Abbas, from the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), from what he has related from his Lord:
Verily Allah ta’ala has written down the good deeds and the evil deeds, and then explained it [by saying]: “Whosoever intended to perform a good deed, but did not do it, then Allah writes it down with Himself as a complete good deed. And if he intended to perform it and then did perform it, then Allah writes it down with Himself as from ten good deeds up to seven hundred times, up to many times multiplied. And if he intended to perform an evil deed, but did not do it, then Allah writes it down with Himself as a complete good deed. And if he intended it [i.e., the evil deed] and then performed it, then Allah writes it down as one evil deed.” [Al-Bukhari][Muslim].

The Most Forgiving

On the authority of Anas who said:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say, “Allah the Almighty has said: ‘O Son of Adam, as long as you invoke Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O Son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and you then asked forgiveness from Me, I would forgive you. O Son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the Earth, and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as it [too].’ ” It was related by at-Tirmidhi, who said that it was a hasan hadeeth.

Honesty

Honesty in Islam not just a good character ; it is an integral part of islamic identity , so if a muslim is not honest , definitely he is not a good muslim and that is applied for any other good manners like considerate, compassionate, merciful, helpful, truthful, generous etc. If you see a muslim does not have a good manners that is him/her personality and Islam is not related to any of that.

Charity

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Every joint of a person must perform a charity each day that the sun rises: to judge justly between two people is a charity. To help a man with his mount, lifting him onto it or hoisting up his belongings onto it, is a charity. And the good word is a charity. And every step that you take towards the prayer is a charity, and removing a harmful object from the road is a charity.”[Al-Bukhari] [Muslim]

The Way To Paradise

A man questioned the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and said, “Do you think that if I perform the obligatory prayers, fast in Ramadhan, treat as lawful that which is halal, and treat as forbidden that which is haram, and do not increase upon that [in voluntary good deeds], then I shall enter Paradise?” He (PBUH) replied, “Yes.”

[Muslim]

Respect Boundaries

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, “Verily, from what was learnt by the people from the speech of the earliest prophecy is: If you feel no shame, then do as you wish.”
[Al-Bukhari]

Do not become Angry

A man said to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), “Counsel me,” so he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Do not become angry.” The man repeated [his request for counsel] several times, and [each time] he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Do not become angry.”

Narrated by Al-Bukhari

Tough Choices

Being always good is really difficult, to do good, be honest, sincere, loyal, no cheating, no wrong doings is next to impossible. All religions ask us to do good deeds all the time, but we manipulate and try to do things the way we like for our benefit even though  they might hurt others or might be against all moral standards for example if everyone of us give charity there will never be poor people; in Islam there is something called Zakat in which rich people give specific portion of their wealth to the poor, in early days of Islam and for some few centuries zakat was collected properly and given to the poor to the extent there were times they could not find any poor in the whole area.

Teaching Younger Generations

Narrated by Abdullah bin Abbas who said:
One day I was behind the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) [riding on the same camel] and he said, “O young man, I shall teach you some words [of advice]: Be mindful of Allah and Allah will protect you. Be mindful of Allah and you will find Him in front of you. If you ask, then ask Allah [alone]; and if you seek help, then seek help from Allah [alone]. And know that if the nation were to gather together to benefit you with anything, they would not benefit you except with what Allah had already prescribed for you. And if they were to gather together to harm you with anything, they would not harm you except with what Allah had already prescribed against you. The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried.”
It was related by at-Tirmidhi

The Most Merciful

Narrated by Abu Hurayrah who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
When Allah decreed the Creation He pledged Himself by writing in His book which is laid down with Him: My mercy prevails over my wrath.

It was related by Muslim (also by al-Bukhari, an-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah).

Don't Waste Them

Ibn 'Abbas narrated that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
"Two favors that many of the people squander are health and free time."

at-Tirmidhi

Peace For All

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr:

A man asked the Prophet (PBUH) , "What sort of deeds or (what qualities of) Islam are good?" The Prophet (PBUH) replied, 'To feed (the poor) and greet those whom you know and those whom you do not Know (See Hadith No. 27).

Sahih al-Bukhari 12

Path is Clear

Narrated by an-Nu’man ibn Basheer (ra), who said:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) say, “That which is lawful is clear and that which is unlawful is clear, and between the two of them are doubtful matters about which many people do not know. Thus he who avoids doubtful matters clears himself in regard to his religion and his honor, but he who falls into doubtful matters [eventually] falls into that which is unlawful, like the shepherd who pastures around a sanctuary, all but grazing therein. Truly every king has a sanctuary, and truly Allah’s sanctuary is His prohibitions. Truly in the body there is a morsel of flesh, which, if it be whole, all the body is whole, and which, if it is diseased, all of [the body] is diseased. Truly, it is the heart.” [Bukhari & Muslim]

Watching yourself

Narrated by Abu Dharr Jundub ibn Junadah, and Abu Abdur-Rahman Muadh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
(Have taqwa (fear) of Allah wherever you may be, and follow up a bad deed with a good deed which will wipe it out, and behave well towards the people).

It was related at-Tirmidhi

What is Islam

Narrated by Abdullah, the son of Umar ibn al-Khattab (ra), who said:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) say, "Islam has been built on five [pillars]: testifying that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, establishing the salah (prayer), paying the zakat (obligatory charity), making the hajj (pilgrimage) to the House by whom who can, and fasting in Ramadhan." [Bukhari & Muslim]

Harnessing honey's healing power

Honey can be the new antibiotic for the 21st century! Thousands of studies and experiments proved this. The Holy Qur’an, however, proved it 14 centuries back.

Honey has been known for its healing properties for thousands of years - the Ancient Greeks used it, and so have many other peoples through the ages.

Even up to the second world war, honey was being used for its antibacterial properties in treating wounds.

But with the advent of penicillin and other antibiotic drugs in the twentieth century, honey's medicinal qualities have taken a back seat.

But that might be about to change - thanks to one New Zealand based researcher.

Working in his Honey Research Unit at the University of Waikato, in the central North Island, biochemist Professor Peter Molan has identified one particular type of honey with extraordinary healing qualities.

Professor Molan has shown that honey made from the flowers of the manuka bush, a native of New Zealand, has antibacterial properties over and above those of other honeys.

Mystery ingredient

He said: "In all honeys, there is - to different levels - hydrogen peroxide produced from an enzyme that bees add to the nectar.

"In manuka honey, and its close relative which grows in Australia called jellybush, there's something else besides the hydrogen peroxide.

"And there's nothing like that ever been found anywhere else in the world."

That "something else" has proved very hard to pin down. Even now, after more than twenty years of research, Peter Molan admits he still has no idea exactly what it is.

But he has given it a name: unique manuka factor, or UMF.

And he has found a way to measure its antibacterial efficacy, by comparing UMF manuka honey with a standard antiseptic (carbolic, or phenol) in its ability to fight bacteria. The results are astonishing.

He said: "We know it has a very broad spectrum of action.

"It works on bacteria, fungi, protozoa. We haven't found anything it doesn't work on among infectious organisms."

Resistant strains

In fact, he says UMF manuka honey can even tackle antibiotic resistant strains of bacteria - a growing problem for hospitals around the world.

"Staphylococcus aureas is the most common wound-infecting species of bacteria, and that's the most sensitive to honey that we've found.

"And that includes the antibiotic resistant strains - the MRSA - which is just as sensitive to honey as any other staphylococcus aureas."

Clinical trials at the Waikato Hospital have shown that even out of the lab, UMF manuka honey has amazing healing properties.

Nurse practitioner Julie Betts has successfully used honey to treat leg ulcers and pressure sores. And she says it helps healing after surgery - particularly for diabetic patients.

"It has an anti-inflammatory effect as well, so if I want to do several things apart from actually controlling the bacteria in that wound, then that's when I'll use honey."

Cancer treatment

Cancer specialist Dr Glenys Round has also found honey to be an effective treatment.
The honey is exported widely "We've been using honey to treat fungating wounds, where the cancer has broken through the skin," she said. "The results in that situation have been excellent."

Most recently, she has had success in using honey dressings on patients with wounds or ulcers resulting from radiation therapy.

"Most of these patients in the past had tried various other conventional treatments without good success, and that is the reason why at least initially honey was tried." Most patients seem happy to try the honey treatment. "They don't have a problem with it at all," said Julie Betts.

"Humans in general have a fondness I think for natural remedies, so they're quite happy to use them." "I think the problem we encounter is when people don't understand how it works. "They think that sourcing any honey will achieve the same outcome, and that's not always true."

Worldwide export

That's a view shared by beekeeper Bill Bennett a few kilometres up the road from the hospital.

He and his wife Margaret run the Summerglow Apiaries, one of just a handful of registered suppliers of UMF manuka honey in New Zealand. They produce between eight and twelve metric tonnes of manuka honey every year, and sell it across the world.

The honey is rigorously tested three times during production for that elusive unique manuka factor; only then can it carry the label "UMF manuka honey".

"It just seems that manuka from a few areas within New Zealand produces a nectar that has this special property," said Bill Bennett.

"There is a lot of manuka honey out there that doesn't have this special property. That's why it's so important to look for the name UMF." Now, a New Zealand natural health products company Comvita is taking UMF manuka honey one step further.

Dressings

Comvita has set up a new medical products division to take hi-tech honey dressings developed by Peter Molan to the international market. The new dressings have been designed to take the mess out of honey.

"It's like a sheet of rubber, you can touch it without it being sticky at all," he said. Comvita has high hopes for the new product.

"Previously untreatable wounds of many types are now found to be treatable by honey," said Comvita's Ray Lewis.

"The global market for wound care is in the range of two to six billion US dollars. So if we can capture just a small percentage of that, we will obviously be doing very well."

Beautiful Hadith

The Prophet (ï·º) said, "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, should not hurt his neighbor and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, should serve his guest generously and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, should speak what is good or keep silent."

Sahih al-Bukhari

God Presence

To anyone who doubts the existence of God; there are so many evidences that prove the presence of Allah, we can enumerate some of them and think more about them and how they could being created:
  • First of all; humans are the most complex and intelligent creature on Earth , they can not come to existence without being created , for example as we think ships must be built by someone so do humans should have been created by someone and that would be God no one else.
  • Earth, Sun, Solar system, the Whole Universe which we would never know its limits ; they would never been made in such incredible way without hands of God.
  • Any other creature that we know or we do not know ; which we discover an amazing things about them almost every day, there must be a Creator who made them all.

The Quran

This divine message was revealed to affirm and renew the relationship between man and his Creator and to reestablish the genuine and right worship of Allah, the one true God of the universe. "Allah" is a proper name derived from the Arabic language and is only applicable to the Creator and upholder of the heavens and earth. It is a grammatically unique word which can not be made plural or given a masculine or feminine gender and therefore can never refer to a false god. Muslims use the name "Allah" for God in all their native languages.

Children are born believers in God, academic claims

Children are "born believers" in God and do not simply acquire religious beliefs through indoctrination, according to an academic.

Dr Justin Barrett, a senior researcher at the University of Oxford's Centre for Anthropology and Mind, claims that young people have a predisposition to believe in a supreme being because they assume that everything in the world was created with a purpose.

He says that young children have faith even when they have not been taught about it by family or at school, and argues that even those raised alone on a desert island would come to believe in God.

"The preponderance of scientific evidence for the past 10 years or so has shown that a lot more seems to be built into the natural development of children's minds than we once thought, including a predisposition to see the natural world as designed and purposeful and that some kind of intelligent being is behind that purpose," he told BBC Radio 4's Today programme.

"If we threw a handful on an island and they raised themselves I think they would believe in God."

In a lecture to be given at the University of Cambridge's Faraday Institute on Tuesday, Dr Barrett will cite psychological experiments carried out on children that he says show they instinctively believe that almost everything has been designed with a specific purpose.

In one study, six and seven-year-olds who were asked why the first bird existed replied "to make nice music" and "because it makes the world look nice".

Another experiment on 12-month-old babies suggested that they were surprised by a film in which a rolling ball apparently created a neat stack of blocks from a disordered heap.

Dr Barrett said there is evidence that even by the age of four, children understand that although some objects are made by humans, the natural world is different.

He added that this means children are more likely to believe in creationism rather than evolution, despite what they may be told by parents or teachers.

Dr Barrett claimed anthropologists have found that in some cultures children believe in God even when religious teachings are withheld from them.

"Children's normally and naturally developing minds make them prone to believe in divine creation and intelligent design. In contrast, evolution is unnatural for human minds; relatively difficult to believe."

Reflection

Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Reflect deeply upon the creation, but do not reflect upon the essence of the Creator. Verily, his essence cannot be known other than to believe in it.”

Read Quran

Reading is something we all like to seek knowledge, to understand things, to know what is going on around us.Now adays, it is very easy to know and read about any subject, to research for any book.
I invite everyone to read Quran the book of Islam; read it, try to understand the meaning of every word, try to comprehend each verse (Aya), try to know the occasion in which this verse or sura revealed, and then ponder and think about what you have read.
I can assure you that you will find so many things that will approve to you Quran is not just a book like any book, it is a book of God (Allah).

God (ALLAH)

In Islam and as a muslim we believe that it is true in every other religion especially Abrahamic religions that everyone has to believe in one God , and then he/she does anything they want, by the way that is not teachings of Islam or any other religion, it is a choice, or after all not very bad one, but they must know that they are going to be held accountable for any action they do throughout their lives whether this act is good deed or bad deed, for the good deed they get reward and for the bad deed they get punishment, but if you are true believer in God, at the end you will enter Paradise by the will of God after going through this trial in front of God.B.S true believer means what is in your heart, do you really believe or just to show people?
The message here, it is really the best chance for every human being to believe in one God, and do good throughout their lives and ask God to grant them Paradise, because life is very very short, let's not waste it for nothing.

Hinted Guidance

I haven’t thrown my papers yet even though I feel like nothing is working with me, one moment I was looking at the sky, I thought what made this thing so huge, without limits at least to our extent of knowledge. I kept looking for minutes and minutes as if someone will come down to me and give me an idea or a clue to solve this mystery.

Life is a big puzzle, everyone has to enter from his/her door and get out from a different gate. It seems interesting and I see it more adventurous and unexpected journey for example you may see the life of one person as a very simple and short trip, but actually the opposite in the eyes of that person because he/she has seen the whole picture and entered the complicated network and experienced its every single event that was intended to happen to them.

Moreover, no one can predict for 100% assertiveness even one single minute of his or her own life that made it so vague and deserved to think about. By this way, we obliged to do something unusual or important, if we just acknowledge this; it will be a big achievement. However, we should be positive and optimistic and anticipate good things to happen; we should work and develop our skills to the level that allows us to raise our awareness of life.

In conclusion, I believe that God is beyond our imagination that controls our lives and make every single one of us has his or her unique path which is designed for him or her and no body else will share such a way.

Prophet Muhammad PBUH

Even before he was chosen by God as a prophet; Muhammad PBUH was as the most the trustworthy and honest person, and because he never behaved treacherously, or cheated he was known among his people as 'Al-meen'. 'The Trustworthy' . People would to entrust him with their valuables when they wanted to travel. He was also known as 'As- Sadiq' or 'The Truthful' for he never told a lie. He was well mannered, well-spoken, and loved to assist people in need. His people loved and revered him for his many beautiful traits and good manners.
